Speech analysis work is carried out by Dr Frederika Holmes.

I gained a PhD in Phonetics from London University in 1995, and also hold an MSc in Phonetics from the University of Edinburgh and a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford. I have lectured in phonetics at University College London and at the University of Westminster, and until September 1998 held the post of Lecturer in Phonetics and Linguistics at the University of Central England in Birmingham.

I established FSVA in 2000 in order to provide a specialised service in independent forensic speech analysis to both Solicitors and Prosecution. Over the past 20 years I have worked on over 1000 criminal cases, instructed by a large range of legal firms and police forces, including the National Crime Agency. I have also been instructed in civil proceedings, employment tribunals, and media investigations.
